The purpose of the role is to manage the development and delivery of product ranges (general and exclusive) for existing major customers as well as identifying and bringing in new business.
Reporting to the Sales Director; this role is responsible for driving key account strategies with your customers, where you will add value to your accounts through high service standards, identifying business opportunities and gaining a detailed understanding of their business requirements; this will be paramount to your success. The ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with large retail organisations from a wholesale perspective and have an eye for trends and growth opportunities. Knowledge of your customers' price points and product categories, their markets and their competition is critical, whilst building and maintaining relationships with your customers to help maximize sales and stay informed of their direction, will see you maximize opportunities for all. Development of specific ranges for your customers will require working with buying, sales, customer service, shipping, graphics and other account managers.
Ideally tertiary qualified in marketing or a related discipline you and will have a solid track record of success in account management in the consumer goods sector. Previous buying experience will be highly regarded, along with excellent financial acumen and an ability to drive sales and margin through detailed analysis and the development of strategic customer business plans.You are engaging and charismatic and enjoy a fast paced and dynamic culture. You will possess excellent communication skills, be an energised and inspiring team member and have strong commercial acumen and a track record of success in achieving sales performance.
