They are seeking to appoint a dynamic and commercially focused General Manager to formulate and execute the strategic direction for their Australian and New Zealand business.
Reporting to an International Director, you will manage a small team yet will still work closely with the external customers in building high level relationships, developing business plans and initiatives that will drive sales and help increase already strong brand and product recognition. With an excellent reputation for quality products and service, the challenge will lie in growing and increasing sales growth through a more strategic approach and working closely with your team to coach and mentor them. Your ability to take directives from the global business yet ensure they are relevant for the domestic market will be imperative to your success. Strong financial management capability with full P&L responsibility will form part of this role. International and domestic travel will also be a requirement for this position.
The ideal candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in business, marketing or technical as a minimum and will have held a similar role where you have been a General Manager/Country Manager for a medium sized business within the industrial sector. You will need to have excellent people leadership skills, be able to influence and gain buy in from your team and be able to demonstrate a track record of success in managing and growing a business autonomously.
