This national retail organisation has a loyal customer base and strong product offering. They are embarking on their next stage of growth and as such, have a newly created role for a Buying Manager to oversee a division of their business.
A strategic Merchant, you will work closely with your team sourcing new product and be instrumental in developing new and existing ranges whilst adhering to budget guidelines and timeframes. A commercially astute leader, you will be responsible for ensuring product and pricepoints are competitive and aligned to the organisations customer demographic. Extensive experience in offshore sourcing and ensuring sound trading terms are in place will also be a key requirement. Your experience will need to be from a general merchandise background and coupled with this you will have significant people management experience and enjoy mentoring and coaching your team in a collaborative and energetic manner.
The successful candidate will have strong buying management experience gained from a medium to large national retail environment. The successful candidate will need to be fast paced and have outstanding communication and negotiation skills, incredible attention to detail and plenty of drive, energy and passion to join this dynamic organisation.
