This newly created permanent role will report into the GM of Sales & Marketing and will be responsible for proactively engaging with the sales team and broader business around developing and implementing systems, templates and processes to evolve and develop 'best in practice' sales tools for the sales team. Developing strategies/practices around key account management, call cycle plans and CRM management will be key priorities. Being able to work effectively with the sales team and identify their developmental needs and help customise training/mentoring programs and business solutions will form a major part of your role.
You will need to be an individual who enjoys developing others and demonstrates high EQ in being able to work with a diverse team with varied skills and experience. You will also be meticulous when it comes to documentations and presentations and have excellent communication skills combined with strong excel, PowerPoint and systems experience. As a strategic thinker, you will need the ability to generate and implement ideas and be comfortable in owning the execution of these. As a standalone role, you will have exceptional influencing and negotiation skills and can indirectly influence the sales team through building positive and collaborative relationships with them that sees you operate as one team.
The successful candidate will have proven FMCG Sales Leadership experience combined with the implementation of FMCG CRM systems and processes. You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build solid partnerships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Degree qualified in business, marketing or related is essential. This role is a successor to the GM so as such we are seeking a commercially focused leader who has a proven track record in people management however is comfortable that in this role the sales team report indirectly.
