They are seeking to appoint a dynamic and commercially focused Operations Manager to lead the Customer Service, Supply Chain and Purchasing and Logistics Departmetns for their Australian and New Zealand business.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing Customer Service and Supply Chain, including maintaining relationships with suppliers and external warehouses, inbound and outbound customer service, demand planning and cost reduction. The role includes some inveolvement in Sales and Marketing, with input into product management activity, product ranging and rationalization, promotional activity and coordination of market pricing intelligence. Additionally there is a Financial and HR component to the role, including debtor and vendor maintenance, preparation of budgets and performance monitoring, and ensuring credit limit and financial risk is managed within corporate guidelines.
The ideal candidate will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in business, commerce or engineering, and will have demonstrated success in a similar role gained from a manufactruing/industrial business. You will have strong supervisory and leadership experience, will be a strategic thinker and highly effective communicator; and will have a proven track record in managing P & L.
