This global sporting apparel organisation has a successful track record of growth and an established and loyal customer base. They are seeking a Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist with strong attention to detail, excellent knowledge of QA practices within apparel factory environments and best practice when it comes to ethical sourcing and standards to join their team.
Reporting to the GM Supply Chain & Sourcing, the Quality Assurance & Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring suppliers are adhering to quality standards including ethical sourcing, quality production and are 100% socially compliant. You will be responsible for ensuring raw materials and finished goods meet company expectations as well as providing to factories detailed timelines and standards information as well critical production schedules. You will also develop, deploy and manage all terms, conditions and quality standards manuals and contribute to the continuous improvement and communication of these both internally and externally with all suppliers and vendors. You will partner with the Production Manager to ensure quality of production aligns with the standards of the business and the respective global markets this organisation sells in. Working closely with Retail, Product and Buying/Planning teams, you will keep them informed of any risk issues and how best to manage these.
The ideal candidate will bring a very solid understanding of Quality Assurance & Compliance from the apparel industry, with ideally qualifications in garment construction or an apparel fashion related course would be desirable. You will bring a can-do attitude, strong attention to detail and commitment to meeting deadlines. You will be a creative thinker, exhibit sound judgement and possess a high level of urgency and attention to detail. You are accountable, reliable, quality focused and will set up the quality practices during your six months in the role. Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills are key for this position, as well as strong organisation skills.
